Start a session, tick the students who are taking part, and the server will draw random pairs and random questions. Students press Ready on their own devices; you start each pair when both are ready. Several duels can run at once, and students may participate in more than one session.

Tick everyone who is playing. An odd number means one student gets a bye this round.
Questions are drawn only from the ticked subunits. Everything is ticked to begin with; untick to narrow the duel to what the class has covered.
How many rounds the schedule holds, 1 to 50. Every round needs six questions per student that they have never met in Blitz; when the ticked subunits cannot supply them the server says so before anything is drawn.
Choose 2 to the number of participants. An odd playoff field gives the highest remaining seed a bye. Each new round pairs highest versus lowest by the original regular-season ranking.
